Congratulations to Dr. Krista Caudle and Dr. Sindhu Madathil of the Brain Trauma Neuroprotection and Neurorestoration (BTNN) Branch, Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience, WRAIR, for their award-winning presentations in the poster competition at the Military Health Services Research Symposium (MHSRS) this year.
Dr. Caudle won first place for her presentation entitled: "Evaluation of Kollidon VA64 in the WRAIR PBBI Model: Studies from the Operation Brain Trauma Therapy Consortium" Dr. Madathil was awarded honorable mention for her presentation entitled: "Temporal and Regional Changes in Microglial Proliferation following Penetrating Ballistic-like Brain Injury in Rats"
Congratulations to Dr. Caudle and Dr. Madathil and to the entire team of BTNN scientists and technicians that contributed to these outstanding presentations.
The MHSRS received a record 1,192 abstract submissions this year. These awards are a testament to the quality and importance of the research conducted on traumatic brain injury by the BTNN team and reflects great credit upon the WRAIR and the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command.
